Countries Around The World Offered Aid To Tackle The Covid-19 Crisis In India

The country is fighting its way out against a great catastrophe in the form of the COVID-19 crisis in India. Subsequently, the World Governments are extending their aid to help India win this impossible battle. 

With over 3,23,144 news cases in the last 24 hours, India’s infection tally has reached over 1,76,36,307. Meanwhile, the national recovery rate dropped to 82.54 per cent. Number of deaths reached to 1,97,894 with 2,771 recent fatalities.

Amid increasing cases, India is now facing a serious problem due to a lack of medical-grade Oxygen for critically ill patients.

Patients started lining up outside hospitals in all major cities in the country. The hospitals have turned them away as they are failing to keep up with the lack of medical supplies and beds. 

As cases started to increase in early April, the situation worsened as the panic-driven citizens started to hoard Oxygen and Remidisvir injections at their homes.

Doctors and frontline workers are now fighting the toughest fight against COVID-19  in India risking their own life and their family’s.

They are urging people to follow all the social distancing guidelines.

Countries providing support and medical supplies to help fight the COVID-19 crisis in India

Many Governments have come forward to help India tackle major issues like Oxygen scarcity and lack of medical supplies.

On Sunday, the White House made an announcement saying that they would send ventilators, PPE and Test kits. Consequently, they also said that they would overturn the ban on the export of raw materials required to make vaccines in India. 

“Just as India sent assistance to the United States as our hospitals were strained early in the pandemic, we are determined to help India in its time of need,” US President Joe Biden earlier wrote in a tweet.

Governments of the UK, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Pakistan and the European Union are among the others who have offered help and committed to send medical supplies to India.

French President Emmanuel Macron took to Facebook and posted in Hindi to express his solidarity with all Indians in these tough times.

His post said “The pandemic we are experiencing spares no one. We know that India is going through a difficult time. Our country has always been supportive: we are urgently taking action to provide our assistance.”

He further wrote, “France plans to send medical equipment, respirators and oxygen to India, and deploy eight medical oxygen production units. Each unit will provide a hospital with an independent oxygen supply for roughly ten years.”

Later, Many Indians have responded to this post and thanked President Macron for his friendly gesture.

Subsequently, the French Ministry for Europe and foreign affairs made an announcement on Tuesday about carrying out a “Solidarity mission” to help the COVID-19 crisis in India. Furthermore, to support people and frontline workers who have been severely affected by the pandemic.
